Diet Drugs, Fen-phen or Redux

The manufacturer of fenfluramine(Fen-phen) and dexfenfluramine(Redux),
American Home Products, was asked by the Federal Food and Drug
Administration to withdraw Fen-phen and Redux from the market in September
1997.  The diet drugs were withdraw because they damage the heart valves of
some users and cause pulmonary hypertension in others. In January of 1998
the Illinois Department of Public Health recommended that all persons who
have taken either diet drug should undergo an echocardiogram. Dr. Mary
Malloy, cardiologist, recommends an echocardiogram for everone who took the
drug for three or more months.  Heart valve damage is believed to have
occurred in up to thirty per cent of diet drug users.

The Law Office of John C Cabaniss is representing persons that have suffered
heart valve damage or pulmonary hypertension.  We are suing American Home
Products to obtain compensation because American Home knew its diet drugs
were unsafe; it knew that users of its diet drugs were developing heart
damage yet it resisted warning doctors and users.  If you are interested in
hiring an attorney to represent you for damage caused by diet drugs, please
call John Cabaniss or Barbara Meyers collect at 1-414-278-6060.
